Rev. H. B.
London, Jr.
Rev. H.B. London, Jr. is vice president of Ministry Outreach/Pastoral Ministries for Focus on the Family. A fourth generation minister, Rev. London was born in Little Rock, Ark. He is a graduate of Pasadena College (now Point Loma Nazarene University) and was ordained on May 24, 1962. On June 10, 1990, Point Loma Nazarene University conferred on H.B. the Doctor of Divinity degree. Rev. London pastored for 31 years. He hosted a daily radio program, "Lifeline to Truth," for 14 years in Salem, Oregon, and for six years in the Los Angeles area. He also had a weekly television program, "A New Way to Live," in Portland, Oregon. H.B. and his wife, Beverley, have two married sons and four grandchildren. H.B. will be with us Friday night through Sunday night.
Rev. Rick Statham
Rev.
Rick Statham, Senior Pastor of
Salem
Baptist
Church for fourteen years, will be preaching Monday morning. He
is an
Atlanta native who graduated from Walton
High School in East Cobb County prior to attending
Mercer University in
Macon where he earned the Bachelor of Business Administration degree.
Rev. Statham later attended New Orleans Baptist Seminary where he earned
the Master of Divinity degree. Prior
to serving as a pastor, he was in the commercial real estate and development
field. Rev. Statham and his wife
Miriam have three children: Charles, Lauren, and Benjamin.
He previously served as pastor of Chattahoochee
Baptist
Church in
Marietta, and Oconee
Rev. Dr. Charles Q. Carter
Dr. Carter is the pastor emeritus for First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, Georgia. He is returning to Shingleroof to preach for us, and is a favorite of the campmeeting. Dr. Carter will lead our evening services for Monday and Tuesday evenings.

Jack Bartlett
Rev. Jack Bartlett is returning to preach for our Tuesday morning service. Rev. Bartlett is the Chapel Pastor for Community Bible Church is Stockbridge, Georgia. We look forward to hearing from Rev. Bartlett again this year at Shingleroof.
Rev.
Dana Everhart
Preaching on Wednesday morning is Rev. Dana Everhart. Dana is no stranger to Shingleroof and has just completed five years as our Host Pastor. Dana is the new District Superintendent for the Atlanta-Emory District of the North Georgia Council of the United Methodist Church. Dana is very excited to be returning to campmeeting as one of our Preachers this year.. Dana is married to Sally and they have three children, Matthew, Jacob and Katie. Dana gave his heart to Christ as a child, and has dedicated his life to the ministry of the Gospel. We are please to have Dana back with us for another year and look forward to his message.
Rev. Dr. Gary Lewis
Dr. Gary Lewis has been the pastor at Sharon Baptist Church for nearly
20 years, being the only church he has ever served as pastor. Following a Finance degree from Clemson University, Gary responded to God's call into the ministry and changed the course of his life from corporate law to pastoring. He earned his Masters of Divinity degree from Southwestern Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas and his Doctorate of Ministry at Beeson Divinity School, located on the campus of Samford University, Birmingham, Alabama. Gary and his wife, Krissy, have two children, Graham and Harper. This is his first time to speak at Shingleroof and he feels both excited and privileged to be a part of such a special component of life in Henry County. We are blessed to have Gary come and preach for us both on Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

Dr. Archie Norman
Rev. Dr. Archie Norman of Henry Baptist Church will be preaching for us on Thursday morning. Dr. Archie Norman has been the Pastor of HBC since its inception in 1994. He graduated in 1978 from Bob Jones University and went on to complete his Master’s and Doctorate in Christian Counseling from Carolina University of Theology. He married Kim and began his ministry as a Pastor in 1980. He has three children - Stephanie, Jonathan and Justin. Dr. Norman is a member of the following associations: the National Christian Counselors Association, the Board of Directors of Mediterranean Baptist Mission and the Board of Baptist World Missionary Outreach Ministries.
Rev. Darris
Baker (Host Pastor) 
Rev.
Darris Baker is the new senior pastor of McDonough First United Methodist
Church. He most recently served as pastor of Sharp Memorial United Methodist Church, located on the campus
of Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia, where he has served as
pastor-in-charge since 2005. Darris and his wife Dotti have been married
20 years. Darris has a Bachelor of Music Education
degree from Columbus State University, and taught public school music for a few
years. Called into ministry, he entered and earned the Master of Arts in
Religious Education degree (emphasis, youth ministry) at Southwestern
Theological Seminary. After 22 years of serving as a youth minister, he entered
the Candler School of Theology at Emory University and earned the Master of
Theological Studies and the Master of Divinity degrees. He is an ordained
elder in the North Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church. Dotti
graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education. She has
served as an accompanist for numerous vocal and instrumental soloists and
ensembles, and as director and accompanist for church and community choirs. Darris
and Dotti have two children. Their son Chris is 27, and their daughter,
Amanda, is 21. Both live and work in Hiawassee, Georgia. Dotti and
Darris have one "perfect" grandson, Caden, age 20 months, who is
Chris' son. We are excited to welcome
Darris for his first year as host pastor for Shingleroof Campmeeting.

David and Amy Voltmer
David and Amy Voltmer will be serving our youth and children ministers for campmeeting this year. We are very excited to be able to have them with us on our staff this year as they serve our young people at Shingleroof. The Voltmers are from Cornerstone Baptist Church in Norfolk,VA

Mr. Dana Blackwood
We are pleased to welcome Dana Blackwood as our song leader for campmeeting this year. Dana has been in full time Christian ministry for over twenty-years. Dana has sung for former presidents and in many of the great churches in the United States. However, his heartbeat is to live out his worship of God so that others are inspired to enter into God’s presence. Dana is currently on staff at the Church of The Apostles in Atlanta, Georgia where he has served in various roles over the last fifteen years. Dana is married to Dawn Bagwell Blackwood and has two daughters Megan and Bailee. We welcome Dana to his first year at Shingleroof.
Ms.
Melissa Hensel
On the piano for the entire week, we welcome back Melissa Hensel. For many at Shingleroof, Melissa is as much a part of this week as putting your feet in the cool waters of the spring. We have counted on her for so long, we are just not sure what we would do without her. Melissa has been playing the Shingleroof piano now for more years than we can remember, and we are very blessed to have her as part of our campmeeting experience.
Ms.
Amy May
We always have plenty of fun things for the kids to do at Shingleroof. This year we are excited to welcome back Ms. Amy to Shingleroof to lead the children's activities. We want all of the kids to come down to the pavilion every weekday afternoon at 2:00 for a fun time of crafts and games led by Ms. Amy. Ms. Amy May joins us again this year and has a lot of things planned for your children. Who will be the first to burst a water balloon on Ms. Amy?
Special Music for all Services
Music will be provided by many local groups and choirs from the community. We are very excited about our music for this year. Second Chance will be back on Saturday night, and the Jonesmen Quartet will be with us again to close out the encampment on Thursday night. These two groups always bring extra music, so plan on coming early those evenings. We are certainly blessed with a variety of talent and fantastic choirs in our community.



Children's Activities at Shingleroof Campmeeting

The Dining Hall will be open.
Make your reservations early. The dining hall serves wonderful meals at lunch and dinner time. Lunch is served right after the morning services (approximately 12:00 noon), and dinner is served starting at 6:00 pm each evening.

RV Campsites are still available. Complete hook-ups going fast. Please email quickly for information.

Services will be broadcast throughout the Campground on our local FM transmitter.
